As a microfinance Bank, our duty is to support the people, small and medium scale enterprises, farmers, market women, new busnesses and traders in our operational domain. This we have been doing over the years bringing joy to our numerous customers.

Currently, we are the main financiers of the largest piggery farm in Nigeria.This farm which is a project of the Federal Government of Nigeria under the National Directorate of Employment (N.D.E) scheme and supervised by the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperative, is meant to empower able bodied Nigerians to become self employed. The farm is situated on a 60hectres of land in Ifo local government area of Ogun State for cropping and livestock production.

The major line of business currently is pig farming. The farm estate is the largest pig production farm in West Africa. The investment value is put at almost 5 bllion naira. The major challenges faced by the farmers are:

1. Working capital (lack of good financial support)

2. Inadequate infrastucture in the farm (Bad roads, lack of water, electricity, cold room facilities and feedmill)

3. Insufficient supply of animal feeds

Just to mention a few. It has been the joy of LMFB to keep supporting these farmer in the past years.We are also involved in supporting the local traders in our community. The include the okada riders in the aquisation of the main business machinery (bikes) for local transportation in the community. A business that has grown in geometric sequence since our involvement and has become an occupation in Nigeria.

The market women have enjoyed tremendous support from our bank in the last 3 years through our Esusu product(Daily contribution). We have helped a lot of them in re-suscitating their ailing businesses, help to start up new ones, expand some and have created new business opportunities for jobless graduates and business owners in our locality.

It is our duty as a Microfinance bank to grow the economy. It is in this light that we have always encouraged and supported small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs), having realised that for our economy to grow as a nation, attain full employment and further diversify and move it away from the almost total reliance on white collar jobs, the need to support SMEs cannot be over-emphasised.
